About Bobby Forch
Bobby started his career in city service as a laborer in Local 1239 working at the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT). He has since held multiple leadership positions within city government, including SDOT’s Safety, Health and Environmental Manager and the City’s Contracting Manager. He worked his way up, eventually landing the job he has now as SDOT’s Contracting Equity and Compliance Manager, helping small businesses with the city’s contracting processes.
Bobby works in the SDOT Major Projects Division. His duties include advising SDOT staff on economic development, contract compliance and standards. He’s involved in projects like King Street Station, Alaska Way Viaduct Replacement, the Seattle Street Car Network, and the Mercer Street Project.
Outside of SDOT Bobby is active in his community. He serves as a member of the Executive Board of the 37th legislative district and is a PCO. He presently serves on the board of the Seattle Management Association and is a past board member of the Northwest Children’s Fund, an agency that grants funds to other agencies committed to ending the cycle of child abuse.
Bobby holds a B.A. in education from Central Washington University with a minor in communications and resides with his wife and son in Seattle’s Central District, where he’s lived for the past 20 years.
